


The 78th Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix will be taking place from May 20rd to 23th 2021.
The Monaco Grand Prix is the most glamourous race on the Formula 1 calendar and it makes its return in 2021 after a year off from its schedule in 2020. After last year’s absence, this year a limited number of spectators will be allowed to occupy the grandstands at the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix.
This season’s 23-race programme’s round five will keep the streets of Monte-Carlo busy.
This year’s Grand Prix is unique in that the first two practice sessions will be held on Thursday 20th May, instead of a Friday. The reason being that the race was originally held on the weekend of Ascension Day, which is a bank holiday in the principality.
Sports and glamour come together at the most high-adrenaline event of the year. Organized by the Automobile Club de Monaco since 1929, the Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most prestigious races in Formula One both because of its unique circuit through the city streets, which is renowned for its difficulty.

Altogether, nearly 3,000 volunteers have devoted their time and know-how to make these meetings truly unforgettable. It all represents a monumental effort, with the aim of ensuring that motor sports fans everywhere get the chance to see a century of automobile history in full flight, from classic pre-war models to the latest generation electric cars, and of course the superstars of the discipline, the Formula 1 cars.
On Saturday 22nd May, the traditional final practice session will be held and then the all-important qualifying in the afternoon for the Grand Prix.
Sunday 23rd May, the main Day
The Monaco Grand Prix consists of 78 laps. Hamilton and Verstappen will be battling for first place as they continue their title fight but the likes of Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez will want to join the battle if they can.
Trophy
This year’s trophy will be presented in a bespoke Louis Vuitton case, underlining the opulence and grandeur of the sport’s most glamourous race.
Three fantastic events held at Monaco
Between April 23 and May 23, 2021, the Principality is hosting the three Grand Prix in the space of just 28 days – The Grand Prix Historique, the E-Prix, and the Formula One Grand Prix.
