A movement launched by the World Tourism Organization (WTO), works on the watchword – “Staying at home today is being able to travel tomorrow.”
Working closely with the World Health Organization (WHO), WTO believes that people and their wellbeing come first, with COVID-19 being a concern for us all. The aim of WTO is to promote tourism even as we are all practicing social distancing, and while we were or are still in lockdown.
Virtual tours seem to be the best way for hard core travelers to explore the world for the coming months. Virtual reality (VR) and people’s growing interest in affordable travel, is making this time at home productive, enabling us to explore the world from the comfort of our own homes, whether it’s the coral reefs of Australia, national parks in the US or ancient Egyptian tombs.
